This notice explains what happens to the information you share through this website. The site is run by Simon Huss, an Alexander Technique teacher in Highbury & Islington, London, who is responsible for that information.
The contact form
When you send a message, I receive your name, email address and whatever you write. I use these only to reply to you and to arrange lessons if you would like them. I don't add you to a mailing list or share your details with anyone else.
The form is handled by Formspree, a form service based in the United States. Formspree passes your message on to my email inbox and keeps a copy in my Formspree account. Because Formspree is in the US, your message is transferred outside the UK.
The legal basis for using your details is my legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you have chosen to send, and taking the steps you ask for before booking a lesson.
I keep messages for as long as I need them to deal with your enquiry and any lessons that follow, then delete them. You can ask me to delete them sooner.
Visitor statistics
To understand which pages are useful, the site counts visits with GoatCounter. It records which page was viewed, the site you came from, your screen size and your browser type. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across other websites, and doesn't keep information that identifies you.
If you prefer not to be counted, blocking scripts or using a content blocker will stop it. The site works the same either way.
Cookies
This site doesn't set any cookies.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like most web hosts, their servers keep standard technical logs (including IP addresses) to keep the site running and secure.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how I use it. To do any of these, send a message through the contact form.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
